Privacy Policy

Study Stride is a study companion app for students. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies whether you use the app on the web or on mobile.

Information we collect

• Account information: your name (optional), email address and password, used to create and secure your account. Passwords are never visible to us.
• Content you create: the notes you upload, planner tasks, focus sessions, flashcards, daily goals and messages you send to the AI tutor.
• Usage information: basic, aggregated analytics about how the app is used (for example which features are popular), which help us improve Study Stride.

We do not collect or store your payment details, location or contacts.

How your information is used

• To provide your account and sync your notes, tasks, flashcards, sessions and progress across devices.
• To power the gamification features — streaks, XP, levels, achievements and your study city.
• To send you service emails, such as account verification or password reset messages.
• To understand aggregate usage so we can improve the app.

AI features

The AI tutor (Stride), note summaries and flashcard generation are powered by third-party AI providers. When you use these features, the text of your question, chat history or uploaded note is sent to the provider to generate a response. Do not submit personal or sensitive information (such as passwords, ID numbers or financial details) into notes or tutor chats. AI answers are study aids — always double-check important facts against your textbooks or teachers.

Your data is private to you

Your notes, tasks, flashcards, study statistics, streaks and tutor conversations are visible only to you. Each student's data is isolated, and we do not show your content to other students or use it for social features.

Data retention and deletion

You can delete your notes, tasks, flashcards and chat history at any time directly in the app. If you would like your account and all associated data permanently deleted, contact us at sandyramachandran@gmail.com and we will remove it.

We never sell your data

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone, and we do not show third-party advertising inside the app.

Children and students

Study Stride is designed for students of all ages. If you are under 13, please ask a parent or guardian before creating an account, and have them contact us with any questions about this policy.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we will notify you in the app. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
